TL;DR
Senior High-Speed PCB Layout Engineer (Altium): Building and releasing high-speed digital and mixed-signal PCB layouts for radar satellites with an accent on stack-up definition, impedance control, length matching, and return-path strategy. Focus on solving signal and power integrity challenges, driving DFM/DFT releases, and supporting hardware bring-up, qualification, and environmental testing.

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site. U.S. work authorization meeting ITAR requirements is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 per year, with flexibility between salary and equity-based compensation.

Company

hirify.global builds radar satellite systems and a coordinated constellation designed to create a high-resolution, real-time 3D map of Earth for disaster response, infrastructure resilience, and mission-critical intelligence.

What you will do

  • Own high-speed PCB layout in Altium from component placement through manufacturing release.
  • Define stack-ups, impedance targets, length-matching constraints, reference planes, and return-path strategies.
  • Translate schematics and performance requirements into mixed-signal and high-speed digital layouts that meet signal and power integrity targets.
  • Collaborate with electrical, firmware, mechanical, and test engineers on constraints, design reviews, and first-pass success.
  • Drive DFM/DFT activities with fabrication and assembly partners and prepare manufacturing documentation.
  • Support lab bring-up, hardware debugging, qualification, and environmental testing, including investigation of SI/PI issues.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with PCB layout, fabrication, and manufacturing release for high-speed digital and mixed-signal electronics.
  • Practical knowledge of constraint-driven routing, impedance control, length matching, stack-ups, return paths, reference planes, via transitions, and noise coupling.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and clean manufacturing outputs.
  • Ability to work on-site in Redwood City, California, and meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, self-direction, accountability, and ability to work under significant time constraints.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Allegro and/or OrCAD.
  • Experience with SI/PI analysis tools such as Ansys SIwave, Keysight Power Analyzer, HyperLynx, or Sigrity.
  • Experience taking high-performance hardware from prototype through qualification and environmental testing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on next-generation radar satellite technology and a real-time 3D model of Earth.
  • Competitive compensation with flexibility between salary and equity-based compensation.
  • Employment with an equal opportunity employer.

Hiring process

  • Interviews are conducted via Google Meet.
  • The typical process takes approximately 2–4 weeks from start to finish.
