Senior RF Phased Array Engineer II (Space Systems): Leading the development of RF products and phased-array systems for spacecraft and other space missions with an accent on antenna performance, RF communications, and end-to-end product development. Focus on modeling and simulating array performance, designing active-antenna test systems, integrating space-qualified hardware, and solving interference and system-level requirements challenges.
Location: Long Beach, California, United States; based at 's global headquarters. Candidates for U.S. offices must meet applicable ITAR eligibility requirements.
Base salary: $141,800–$212,600 USD annually. Total compensation, including equity, is $174,300–$269,875 USD annually.

What you will do
- Lead RF product and phased-array development from architecture and prototyping through integration, testing, flight development, and production transition.
- Model and simulate antenna and array performance, including active-antenna characteristics.
- Collaborate with RF, digital, power, mechanical, thermal, and structural engineers.
- Develop test plans and procedures covering EIRP and G/T, as well as GSE and production automation.
- Support proposals, requirements compliance assessments, engineering reviews, customer support, and anomaly troubleshooting.
- Interface with vendors and customers and contribute to ICDs, user manuals, and other product documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, RF communications, or an equivalent field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Fundamental RF knowledge, including link budget analysis and linearity.
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of RF communications, navigation systems, and related components.
- Experience modeling and simulating antenna or phased-array performance.
- Deep understanding of interference effects on RF systems.
- For U.S. office employment, eligibility under U.S. Government ITAR export regulations is required or must be obtainable.
Nice to have
- Space-grade system design and RF communications experience for launch vehicles or satellites.
- Experience with worst-case, reliability, FMECA, thermal, and derating analyses.
- Experience leading complex engineering programs, incident investigations, and technical documentation.
- Mentoring, project management, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
