Senior Consultant, Advisory Services

Location: Albany, New York, United States; candidates can also sit in New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, or San Francisco, CA.

Target salary rate: $110,000–$140,000 annually.

What you will do

• Support strategy, transformation, and advisory engagements integrating finance, operations, people, processes, technology, and data.
• Execute workstreams involving market and data analysis, process documentation and assessment, requirements gathering, and solution development.
• Develop client-ready presentations, analyses, reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and internal teams, support implementation activities, and contribute to process, system, and operating model improvements.
• Track project risks, issues, dependencies, and progress; escalate concerns and support issue resolution.
• Coach junior resources when applicable and contribute to internal initiatives and the growth of the CFO Advisory segment.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in strategy or management consulting in a client-facing role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting client engagements spanning strategy, transformation, and operational improvement across industries.
• Ability to understand client business models and adapt across industries.
• Experience creating clear, client-ready presentations and deliverables, with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Familiarity with project delivery, including project planning, progress tracking, risk identification, and issue resolution.
• Skills in market and data analysis and in building reports and dashboards to communicate insights.
• Knowledge of finance transformation, FP&A, controllership, and/or finance operations.
• Familiarity with project management tools including MS Project and Smartsheet; willingness to travel as needed.

• Project or Change Management certification.
