Risk Consulting Manager - Financial Services (Financial Services)

Location: New York, United States; client travel and in-person collaboration required

Salary: $101,000–$203,000 per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Lead financial services risk assessments, management interviews, and internal audit plan development.
• Review process narratives, flowcharts, risks, control gaps, remediation recommendations, and process improvements.
• Own client relationships, conduct closing meetings, and collaborate with management and C-suite stakeholders.
• Manage multiple clients, projects, teams, engagement economics, billing, and collections.
• Mentor consulting staff, support training development, and contribute to an inclusive, high-performing team environment.
• Develop proposals, project scopes, delivery plans, budgets, and industry thought leadership to support business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial services audit, internal audit, or related internal controls roles.
• Experience leading project-based work with defined objectives, milestones, and timelines.
• Professional writing, spreadsheet, presentation, communication, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Job-relevant certification such as CPA or CIA is expected.
• Ability to travel for client needs and collaborate in person and remotely; work authorization in the United States is required.
