Tool and Die Maker

Location: Carpentersville, Illinois, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $26.00–$33.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

hirify.global is a privately owned American manufacturer that engineers mission-critical solutions and operates engineering capabilities for short-run tooling and high-speed, large-volume stamping dies.

What you will do

• Lead tool development and debug new dies for the part approval process.
• Construct, alter, repair, and fabricate stamping tooling using blueprints and CAD data.
• Set up dies and material feeds, and operate punch presses to trial tools.
• Operate tool-room equipment and use inspection equipment for tooling verification.
• Maintain tooling records for preventive maintenance and assist with die changeovers.
• Keep the work area clean and safe and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completed Tool and Die Apprenticeship or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker, including troubleshooting skills.
• Expert blueprint reading with GD&T, knowledge of SPC, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to understand tool steels and production materials and operate tool-room equipment.
• Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and push 200 lbs. on wheeled carts with assistance as necessary.
• Availability for mandatory overtime and non-standard or extended work schedules.

Nice to have

• CNC mill experience.
• EDM experience.
