Lawyer (Corporate Law)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate supplier agreements, sales contracts, leases, joint ventures, and other commercial agreements.
• Lead and support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, real estate transactions, corporate restructuring, financing, and business development matters.
• Advise on environmental laws, permits, waste disposal regulations, and compliance requirements affecting scrap metal recycling operations.
• Manage corporate governance, trade regulations, internal policies, risk management, disputes, and litigation-related matters.
• Provide legal support to global operations and collaborate with operations, finance, HR, environmental, and external legal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Law and membership in the Quebec Bar.
• 1–3 years of experience in corporate law, particularly contract review, transactional law, and environmental law.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec and Canadian corporate law, with familiarity with international legal frameworks.
• Fully bilingual in French and English, spoken and written, is required.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters accurately in a fast-paced environment.
