What you will do

• Coordinate with inspectors on field reviews, data collection, analysis, studies, and forecasting.
• Verify construction documents against field conditions and interpret construction drawings.
• Research and develop recommendations for construction approaches, concepts, materials, and equipment selection.
• Collect and manage engineering and construction data, including quantity take-offs for estimates.
• Prepare project data for schedules and budgets, monitor progress, and support reporting.
• Assist with contractor change-order negotiations and review invoices to verify quantities and enter them into the client’s online system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred, with an electrical background.
• EIT certification is preferred.
• At least 1 year of construction office engineering experience is required.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards, with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and trades in the field, and knowledge of construction schedules and budgets.
• Commitment to client-focused solutions, innovation, integrity, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Nice to have

• Previous infrastructure construction experience with a city agency such as MNR.
