Senior Field Inspectors (Construction Inspection)

Location: Empire State Building and field offices in New York City, New York; full-time onsite work with shifts that may include swing, night, and weekend schedules

Salary: $74,278–$84,407 per year

What you will do

• Inspect existing conditions, active work, and completed work for quality, completeness, and accuracy.
• Prepare daily work reports, controlled inspection reports, time and material records, and unit price documentation.
• Review and mark plans and specifications to track compliance with performed work.
• Observe work conditions for compliance with applicable safety regulations.
• Prioritize competing needs, resolve matters promptly, and follow projects through completion.
• Communicate work progress to project stakeholders and perform related inspection duties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of construction supervision or inspection experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States and ability to pass a high-level TWIC and/or SWAC background check.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with rail, tunnels, structural work, or stations.
• Experience with substations.
• Advanced certifications such as NICET or ACI.
