Senior Business Analyst (Commercial Lending)

Location: Hybrid; three in-office days per week at the St. Petersburg, Florida corporate office, United States

What you will do

• Define detailed functional and non-functional business requirements for the Commercial Loan Origination system.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze information from databases, interviews, and other sources to recommend solutions.
• Validate test cases and support configuration, workflow management, application development, and business process documentation.
• Translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and business requirements for technical partners.
• Develop estimates, implementation plans, project schedules, reports, and technical documentation; lead small to medium-sized projects when required.
• Collaborate with vendors and UX/design resources to evaluate implementation options, develop use cases, and visualize requirements through prototypes.

Requirements

• More than five years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst is preferred; general experience of three to six years is listed.
• Experience gathering business requirements from the ground up and working with senior IT and Business Operations stakeholders is required.
• Knowledge of loan origination or loan underwriting is required.
• Experience in financial services and supporting enterprise-level complex applications is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of requirements gathering, issue tracking, change management, SDLC, and Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Computer and Information Science, or a high school diploma as listed in the education requirements.

Nice to have

• Three to five years of commercial lending, commercial loan origination, or mortgage underwriting experience.
• Experience with vendor-based application software implementation and support.
• Ability to query databases using SQL.
• Knowledge of syndicated and bilateral commercial lending deals and origination or servicing.
