Senior Business Analyst – Retail Data Products

What you will do

• Elicit, document, and prioritize data and analytics requirements, translating them into user stories, data definitions, mappings, and acceptance criteria.
• Support the design and delivery of data pipelines, curated datasets, and enterprise data products within Agile delivery processes.
• Analyze and reconcile data across systems using SQL, validate KPIs, and perform root-cause analysis for data issues.
• Define and monitor data quality rules, KPIs, SLAs, controls, dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage documentation.
• Lead governance workflows, issue triage, audits, data stewardship, and alignment among business, IT, data engineering, architecture, and third-party partners.
• Develop test plans, execute UAT and regression testing, validate releases, and enable adoption of governed self-service analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in business or data analysis, BI, or data product support.
• Strong SQL and data analysis skills, including data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with data platforms, data warehousing, data modeling concepts, requirements gathering, user stories, and backlog management.
• Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata, data quality frameworks, and KPIs.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate between business and technical teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms focused on data, AI, and analytics outcomes.
• Exposure to ETL/ELT tools, data catalog and governance tools, or third-party data partners.
• Experience in insurance, finance, or other data-heavy industries.
• Familiarity with MDM concepts, including customer master data, deduplication, and golden records.
• Exposure to AI/ML-ready data ecosystems.
