Systems Administrator Level 2 (HPC)

Location: Fort Meade, Maryland, United States; onsite support for Intelligence Community missions

Salary: $118,000–$128,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Provide high-performance computing sustainment services across two geographically dispersed areas.
• Administer systems running Red Hat, CentOS, SUSE, and vendor-specific operating systems.
• Support high-speed shared storage, including Lustre and GPFS, and low-latency interconnects such as InfiniBand and Slingshot.
• Plan, deliver, integrate, and transition new HPC systems, servers, and parallel file systems into operations.
• Support HPC and ABUNDANTSHIELD shared-storage SRE teams while following government policies and procedures.
• Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, capacity planning, and resource optimization across servers, storage, networks, and client systems.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph; the most recent polygraph must have been completed within the last 7 years.
• DoD 8570 IAT II-level certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 5 years of relevant systems administration experience, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience administering Linux, Unix, Windows, or other applicable operating systems.
• Experience supporting IT systems, diagnosing Tier 1 and Tier 2 problems, and maintaining client/server, storage, and network environments.
