Systems Administrator 2 - Linux

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Perform daily Linux systems administration activities for the program.
• Upgrade servers, workstations, and laptops.
• Install and configure server and workstation hardware.
• Complete Customer Secure the Enterprise tasks and support the customer data transfer process.
• Maintain systems across CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9 environments.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• Ten years of systems administration experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of systems administration experience as a substitute.
• Security+ certification or an equivalent certification at a higher level.
• Experience administering Linux systems, including CentOS 7, Rocky 9, and RHEL 9.
• Experience with hardware installation, STE tasks, and customer data transfer processes.

Nice to have

• Task automation and Ansible experience.
• PXE boot and Proxmox virtual machine development.
• Identity Manager, CentOS LDAP integration, and Linux networking experience.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification.
• TLS troubleshooting and configuration, plus Windows 10/11 administration.
