Systems Administrator 1 - Linux

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States; on-site government program role.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Support daily Linux systems administration responsibilities on the assigned program.
• Administer CentOS 7, Rocky Linux 9, and RHEL 9 systems.
• Upgrade servers, workstations, and laptops.
• Perform Customer Secure the Enterprise tasks and support the customer data transfer process.
• Install and configure server and workstation hardware.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.
• At least five years of systems administration experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or five additional years of systems administration experience in lieu of the degree.
• Experience administering Linux systems, including CentOS 7, Rocky Linux 9, and RHEL 9.
• Experience upgrading servers, workstations, and laptops, installing hardware, performing Secure the Enterprise tasks, and supporting data transfers.

Nice to have

• Task automation and Ansible experience.
• PXE boot and Proxmox virtual machine-building experience.
• Identity Manager, CentOS LDAP integration, and TLS troubleshooting/configuration experience.
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification.
• Windows 10/11 administration and Linux networking experience.
