Lead Bridge Engineer / Senior Project Manager

Location: Parsippany, New Jersey, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office

Salary: $153,600–$230,400 annually

What you will do

• Design and analyze complex concrete and steel bridge structures, including long-span bridges where applicable.
• Develop engineering designs, contract plans, specifications, studies, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Lead technical aspects of bridge projects and deliver work on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• Coordinate and direct CAD production activities for drawing development.
• Perform quality control, independent reviews, and checks of structural designs and calculations.
• Coordinate with civil engineers, oversee engineers’ work, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey required.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures, with project management experience.
• Advanced structural analysis and design capabilities, including the ability to perform seismic analysis.
• Proficiency in leading technical project work, preparing drawings, specifications, engineering calculations, and reports.
• Strong oral and written communication, collaboration, integrity, and client-service skills.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering Licenses in New York and/or Pennsylvania.
• Experience delivering NJTA or NJDOT projects.
• Experience with CSI Bridge.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, NJDOT, PennDOT, and NJTA standards.
• Experience with long-span bridges and advanced seismic analysis.
