Senior Bridge Engineer - Project Manager

Location: Hybrid role based at 255 East Avenue, Rochester, New York, United States

Base compensation: $127,000–$192,000 annually

What you will do

• Manage bridge engineering projects from concept through completion, including scope, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee design documents, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and highway projects.
• Conduct technical analyses and quality reviews in line with established quality assurance standards.
• Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development of engineering staff.
• Support regional business development, client relationships, partnerships, and proposal development.
• Contribute to project forecasting, performance reviews, risk assessments, and strategic transportation pursuits.

Requirements

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• At least 10 years of experience in bridge design and project management, including significant local project experience.
• Experience delivering complex bridge projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of AASHTO and NYSDOT Highway Bridge design standards.
• Established relationships with regional engineering clients and public agencies.
• Strong technical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with a focus on bridge design.
