Sr. Facilities Technician (HVAC)

Location: San Antonio, Texas, USA; full-time onsite role

Starting salary: $50,000 per year, with placement based on experience and internal equity.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain campus building systems, including fire and burglar alarms, elevators, HVAC, and irrigation.
• Maintain buildings and grounds through carpentry, painting, pest control, lawn care, plumbing, and basic electrical repairs.
• Execute work orders, inspections, preventive maintenance, and event-related facility setups to high standards.
• Supervise Facilities Technicians, assign duties, provide escalated support, and participate in hiring and termination decisions.
• Manage maintenance contractors, service providers, the facilities maintenance budget, and a company credit card.
• Respond to emergencies on call during and after operating hours and coordinate with school and campus operations staff.

Requirements

• At least five years of facilities maintenance experience preferred.
• Required technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and/or plumbing systems, as well as building system maintenance and repair.
• Trade licensure or certification highly preferred.
• Ability to manage complex or multiple projects, complete high-quality work, and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Basic computer skills and reliable transportation are required; flexibility in the work schedule is expected.
• English fluency is required. Spanish and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
