Senior Facility Technician

Location: Onsite in Manassas, Virginia, United States

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, with potential incentive compensation, merit increases, and a corporate bonus program.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, environmental, carpentry, and painting systems.
• Receive, prioritize, and complete work orders, including advanced repairs and regular facility inspections.
• Install, relocate, and manage inventory for fixtures, laboratory equipment, and repository items.
• Coordinate external technicians and support the review of maintenance schedules, layouts, designs, and facility solutions.
• Schedule maintenance to minimize operational disruptions and regularly update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Document work in facility and records management systems, follow equipment validation and qualification protocols, and perform on-call duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with equipment installation, relocation, maintenance, and advanced facility repairs.
• Experience with power distribution, generators, switchgear, lighting, plumbing, water systems, carpentry, painting, and equipment installations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, HVAC, and environmental systems, preventive maintenance, inspections, and work order execution.
• Ability to accurately document work and follow equipment validation and qualification protocols.
• Effective communication skills and flexibility when priorities change.
