Elementary 3rd Grade Lead Teacher

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA; full-time, onsite school-based role

Salary: $56,650–$79,000+ for uncertified teachers; $60,000–$88,500+ for certified teachers, depending on experience and certification status.

What you will do

• Create rigorous, engaging unit and daily lesson plans using provided curricula and resources.
• Build a safe, organized, inclusive classroom where students feel affirmed, valued, and challenged.
• Analyze student work and academic data to adjust instruction and support student growth.
• Provide accommodations and modifications, maintain accurate records, and communicate with families about student progress.
• Collaborate with the grade team and instructional coaches, participate in professional development, and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Support school functions and activities, including family events, home visits, bus, lunch, dismissal, and field trips.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time teaching experience preferred, ideally in an urban setting.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Pennsylvania State certification Level I or II strongly preferred.
• Uncertified teachers must enroll in a Pennsylvania-approved certification program within one year of hire and submit transcripts for an emergency permit application.
• Strong classroom management, student growth, collaboration, cultural competence, and inclusive teaching skills.
• Required criminal and child abuse clearances must be completed before the start date, including PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse Clearance, and Cogent Federal Fingerprinting.
