Mechanical Engineer II - Controls

Location: Carpentersville, Illinois, United States; full-time onsite role

Target base salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.

What you will do

• Establish product design concepts and performance specifications aligned with customer and marketing goals.
• Design product assemblies, subassemblies, and detailed parts using manual methods and CAD tools.
• Perform performance modeling, stress analysis, tolerance studies, and statistical engineering calculations using CAE tools.
• Prepare drawings, bills of materials, engineering change notices, and other product documentation.
• Coordinate engineering activities with internal departments, vendors, and customers to meet project schedules and milestones.
• Support production and quality control by analyzing and resolving design, process, and discrepant-material issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
• At least one year of engineering experience, including mechanical CAD use; Creo experience is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good follow-up and coordination skills.
