What you will do

• Lead the mechanical design of Point of Use pressure vessels for high-purity purification media.
• Partner with R&D to define media types, form factors, and geometries for new purifier products.
• Design welded and bolted pressure-vessel joints and evaluate filtration media against pressure-drop, flow-rate, and contamination-control requirements.
• Perform, analyze, and document stress calculations for pressurized equipment in line with safety and applicable industry standards.
• Create SolidWorks 3D models, 2D manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials.
• Support manufacturing-floor troubleshooting, design reviews, process improvements, and engineering change control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 2–4 years of professional engineering experience focused on pressure equipment or pressure-vessel design.
• Experience with 3D modeling and 2D drafting using SolidWorks or another CAD program.
• Strong understanding of structural welding design, weld callouts, mechanical assembly, and bolted-joint engineering.
• Ability to perform manual and software-assisted stress calculations for pressurized equipment; familiarity with ASME Section VIII or similar codes is preferred.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical manufacturing and production issues, with strong cross-functional communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with PDM or PLM systems.
• Experience with filtration media, fluid dynamics, or high-purity gas and liquid systems.
• Experience with orbital and lathe welding.
