Senior Cost Analyst (NCA)

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia

Salary: $80,000–$120,000 per year, depending on education and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and conduct life cycle cost estimates, independent cost estimates, and independent cost assessments for Department of the Navy programs.
• Support independent and component cost estimate development for MDAP milestones, production readiness, deployment, and sustainment reviews.
• Perform economic studies, research, data collection, industry analysis, and metrics development.
• Analyze findings and present recommendations to senior leaders within the Department of the Navy.
• Apply cost analysis methodologies and document cost models, risks, and uncertainties.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of Department of Defense acquisition or cost estimating experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• 24 semester hours of quantitative coursework, including at least 3 hours of college-level calculus.
• Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs and developing economic, alternatives, affordability, and life cycle cost analyses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
• Navy ship, submarine, or fixed-wing aircraft estimating experience.
• ICEAA CCEA or comparable cost-estimating certification.
• Experience leading or contributing to an initial life cycle cost estimate for a DoD program.
