Senior Advanced Engineer (Marine)

Location: Edgewater, Florida, United States. Onsite position with approximately 10% travel. Relocation is available. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $84,500–$123,900 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Generate 3D surface models for boat decks, liners, and small parts used in five-axis milling and tooling design.
• Lead engineering activities during design development and engineer assigned fiberglass, mechanical, electrical, laminate, and structural systems.
• Design and validate complex hinges and mechanisms using 3D models and 2D specification drawings for supplier fabrication.
• Support industrial design with space-claim analysis, feasibility studies, component specifications, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, program management, dealers, and customers to improve boat systems and support successful product launches.
• Review drawings, validate designs, investigate warranty and field issues, and ensure compliance with performance, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline; significant relevant experience may substitute for education.
• 3–5+ years of marine product design experience with knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Computer-aided design experience and strong 3D solid and free-surface modeling skills; Siemens NX is preferred, with SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or Pro/Engineer also relevant.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis and component and assembly interactions at the system level.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks, provide direction to engineering and product assembly teams, and solve multifaceted problems.
• Must be able to work onsite in Edgewater, Florida, work additional hours when required, and travel at least 10%.

Nice to have

• Boating experience.
• Lean Six Sigma certification or experience.
• Familiarity with PFMEA and DFMEA.
