Marine Systems Engineer II

Salary: $85,000–$95,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and analyze marine equipment and systems, including load-bearing structures, hydraulic systems, and underwater ship repair or salvage equipment.
• Develop and review engineering documents, 3D models, simulations, calculations, technical manuals, drawings, and equipment procedures.
• Support fabrication, machine shop, and welding teams with technical direction during equipment build and assembly.
• Develop test requirements and plans, analyze test results, and prepare final reports and recommendations.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, risk assessments, procurement, bills of materials, and project progress tracking.
• Maintain design records, revisions, deviations, configuration documentation, and equipment maintenance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in mechanical or marine engineering.
• Strong proficiency with 3D modeling software such as SolidEdge or SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of marine engineering and structural analysis.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, technicians, drafters, underwater maintenance crews, fabricators, vendors, and clients.

Nice to have

• Fundamentals of Engineering certificate.
• Exposure to marine rigging, vessel operations, underwater ship repair, or related field engineering.
