What you will do

• Translate complex project requirements into computer models, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings.
• Oversee technical design, implementation, and delivery of engineering projects and programs.
• Collaborate with systems, project, and quality engineering teams to develop cost-effective, functional products.
• Create and review detail drawings and maintain accurate, complete bills of material.
• Verify design proportionality, sizing, dimensional accuracy, and tolerance limits.
• Recommend materials and support the selection of appropriate manufacturing processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant design engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Deep knowledge of engineering principles, documentation standards, drafting practices, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• In-depth experience with mechanical CAD tools and communication with technical customers and vendors.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
• Onsite work in Buffalo, New York, and access to U.S. export-controlled information are required.

Nice to have

• Aerospace industry experience.
• Experience with Siemens NX MCAD design software and Teamcenter PLM.
