Senior Engineer (HMI Systems and Ergonomics): Configuring Human Machine Interface systems and developing operator seats and controls for construction and mining machines with an accent on human factors, ergonomics, supplier collaboration, and machine integration. Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois, United States; travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
Salary: $131,227–$169,060 per year.

What you will do
- Configure Human Machine Interface systems to improve operator experience and productivity.
- Design and develop operator seats, controls, and related electromechanical systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers, machine integration teams, validation teams, customers, and internal process partners.
- Gather requirements, create functional specifications, and participate in DFMEA, PFMEA, and validation planning.
- Provide technical leadership for HMI systems and troubleshoot design and quality concerns from end users, dealers, and manufacturing facilities.
- Lead multiple projects while meeting quality, cost, timing, performance, and manufacturing requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- At least five years of experience in human factors, ergonomics, or a related occupation.
- Experience designing, testing, or manufacturing electromechanical components and systems related to human factors or ergonomics.
- Experience with Creo or other 3D modeling tools, operator controls and seat design, human factors, occupational biomechanics, workspace design, and ergonomics.
- Experience collaborating with electro-mechanical system suppliers and end customers, plus manufacturing engineering experience in automotive or construction equipment.
- Visa sponsorship is not available; the role requires onsite work five days per week.
