Senior Quality Manager (HVACR)

Location: Cudahy, Wisconsin, USA; fully onsite with no hybrid or remote option. The role requires travel to plant locations, customers, and suppliers.

What you will do

• Lead a cross-functional team and third-party consultant through ISO 9001 preparation and official certification.
• Develop and maintain Quality Management System documentation, coordinate internal technical audits, and manage certification processes for ISO 9001, CSA, ASME, PED, and other agency requirements.
• Improve quality policies, procedures, instructions, KPIs, and metrics while balancing customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and profitability.
• Own continual-improvement strategies for warranty rates, customer issues, first-pass yield, and cost of poor quality.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods, including DMAIC, 5S+1, process capability analysis, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and other statistical techniques.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Product Safety, Procurement, customers, and suppliers across the product lifecycle and New Product Development phase-gate reviews; coach quality professionals and direct reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a plant quality manager, including implementation or management of Quality Management Systems in global, matrixed organizations.
• Extensive knowledge of quality management methodologies and ISO 9001, plus experience with Six Sigma and Lean.
• Strong project management, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, root-cause identification, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Experience advising senior management and executives, influencing stakeholders, and moving teams toward shared goals.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced degree.
• Engineering-to-Order experience and HVACR industry experience.
• ASQ membership or certification as a Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, or Reliability Engineer.
