Quality Control Inspection Lead (Manufacturing)

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ), onsite

What you will do

• Lead daily activities for quality control inspectors and the material receiving inspector, providing direction, support, and escalation as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes, systems, records, reports, and documentation.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections, review Inspection and Test Plans, and coordinate third-party inspections.
• Interpret drawings, procedures, instructions, specifications, and applicable quality and welding codes to determine product acceptance.
• Prepare nonconformance reports, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Train personnel, conduct daily safety and quality meetings, and collaborate with management and other departments to improve quality performance.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management.
• At least two years of experience with ISO-9000 or similar quality management systems.
• At least one year of experience with ASME, AWS, SSPC, or similar welding, construction, and quality codes.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain Visual/Magnetic Testing Level II certification within six months of employment.
• Ability to read and understand English and work in shop environmental conditions in Houston, Texas.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in applied science, engineering, science, quality management, or a related field.
• Qualifications in NDE methods or Certified Level II status.
• ISO 9001 training.
