Software Engineer (Full Stack) - SME

What you will do

• Lead architectural design and translate customer requirements and roadmap priorities into technical solutions, plans, and delivery timelines.
• Develop and maintain full-stack applications, Python-based data warehouse processing systems, REST APIs, microservices, and modern GUI applications.
• Build ETL pipelines, data storage solutions, and data analysis workflows for large-scale and time series datasets.
• Integrate, deploy, monitor, and continuously improve machine learning models in production ML/Ops environments.
• Optimize systems for scalability, reliability, security, and performance across edge and distributed environments.
• Lead code reviews, testing and validation strategies, incident response, root cause analysis, mentoring, and adoption of ML/Ops automation practices.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a CI poly.
• 14+ years of professional full-stack software development experience and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Expert Python and object-oriented design skills, with extensive experience building backend systems, APIs, data pipelines, and data processing solutions.
• Experience with React, Node, or Electron; RESTful APIs; microservices; PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and BigQuery; and large-scale or time series data modeling.
• Experience supporting ML workflows and using tools such as MLflow, DVC, or Optuna, together with NumPy, Pandas, Flask, FastAPI, Pydantic, Gunicorn, or Uvicorn.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, web servers such as Apache or Nginx, and Agile development environments.

Nice to have

• Government or defense program experience and integration of computer vision or machine learning into operational systems.
• Knowledge of real-time processing, streaming, distributed systems, cloud ML/Ops infrastructure, or parallelization with Dask.
• Experience with geospatial tools, machine learning frameworks, or RPC technologies such as gRPC and JSON-RPC.
