Staff Fullstack Software Engineer (Python/React)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Compensation: $180,000–$250,000 total compensation package per year

What you will do

• Own customer and operational initiatives from problem framing through implementation, launch, and production validation.
• Turn ambiguous requirements into practical plans, milestones, and shippable increments.
• Build and maintain full-stack applications with Django, Python, React, and TypeScript.
• Design and integrate APIs, data models, third-party services, testing, security, and production operations.
• Use and rigorously validate AI-assisted workflows across investigation, development, testing, debugging, and code review.
• Diagnose production issues, restore service, and improve systems, tooling, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend development experience with Python and Django, plus user-facing application development with React and TypeScript.
• Experience owning meaningful production outcomes and delivering features across backend and frontend systems.
• Experience with APIs, relational data models, third-party integrations, automated testing, security, data integrity, and failure handling.
• Experience diagnosing production behavior using logs, metrics, traces, profiling, and other operational evidence.
• Strong written and verbal communication in a remote, cross-functional environment, with meaningful professional use of AI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in a lean product organization working directly with business or operational stakeholders.
• Experience with marketplaces, matching, routing, lead management, workflow automation, or other multi-sided products.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Celery, CRMs, communications platforms, webhooks, asynchronous jobs, and third-party APIs.
• Experience handling production incidents, migrations, concurrency, data-quality problems, or other high-consequence workflows.
