Staff Software Engineer (React)

Location: 100% remote within the USA

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year across the U.S.; Colorado range: $190,000–$210,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

hirify.global develops veterinary software platforms for procurement, home-delivery ecommerce, and practice management, serving veterinary hospitals across the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the design, architecture, and delivery of complex initiatives across web and mobile platforms.
• Build and enhance React and React Native applications for veterinary professionals and industry partners.
• Develop scalable components, shared libraries, and architectural patterns that improve team productivity.
• Design accurate, secure, and performant features, data models, database queries, and API interactions.
• Set engineering standards, improve code quality and test coverage, and lead performance and reliability improvements.
• Mentor engineers and partner with the CTO, engineering leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders on technical direction.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with complex, production-grade systems.
• Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React, including large-scale frontend architecture.
• Experience designing scalable systems, APIs, and data models, with relational database and query optimization expertise.
• Deep expertise in at least one modern programming language and experience with modern web frameworks.
• Ability to mentor engineers, make technical decisions, communicate complex ideas clearly, and work collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Django, Django REST Framework, TypeScript, React Query, Less, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Redis, ClickHouse, React Native, and Git.
