Field Technician, Junior

Location: Chester, Illinois, USA; onsite, full-time. Shift: 11:00 to 19:00. Local day travel may be required, with occasional overnight travel.

What you will do

• Collect product and raw-material samples during transfers to containers, vessels, barges, trucks, and rail.
• Label sample containers and paperwork with identifying information, location, date, and collection time.
• Deliver samples to the laboratory and prepare, reduce, and divide samples for analysis.
• Gather samples at specified locations, processing stages, and time intervals, and perform screening or basic physical tests.
• Clean and organize sampling equipment and containers before and after use.
• Wear required PPE and follow local, federal, and internal safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience is required unless mandated by state law.
• A valid current driver's license may be required when driving a company vehicle.
• TWIC certification and a 24-hour MSHA certificate may be required; MSHA training is available through hirify.global.
• Ability to use standard office equipment and basic sampling and sample-preparation equipment.
