Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Electrical)

Location: Hybrid work from Sidney, Ohio or St. Louis, Missouri, with regular onsite attendance; up to two remote days per week may be available after onboarding.

What you will do

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for Americas direct-material electrical commodities.
• Lead cost-containment initiatives and inflation forecasting.
• Improve working capital through payment terms, inventory, and lead-time optimization.
• Build supplier capacity plans and regionalization roadmaps.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and conduct RFQs and e-auctions.
• Partner with Supplier Quality to reduce PPM and drive corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related functions.
• 1–3 years of experience in commodity management or category-specific sourcing.
• Strong project management, process evaluation, communication, and data analysis skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and data analysis tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement or sourcing experience.
• Experience sourcing electrical components and managing commodity or category strategies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and familiarity with DDSC or Perfect Execution methodologies.
