Strategic Sourcing Specialist III

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States. The role is 100% remote during the contract phase and transitions to fully on-site at the Cherry Creek location in Denver if converted to a permanent, full-time position.

Compensation: $45–$55 per hour, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers.

What you will do

• Source and secure materials, equipment, and services for data center, power generation, innovation, and corporate projects.
• Manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP events, analyze bids and vendor quotations, and prepare award recommendations for leadership.
• Identify and pre-qualify suppliers and monitor contracted supplier performance against quarterly KPIs.
• Negotiate and execute service orders, master service agreements, purchase agreements, consulting agreements, EPC contracts, and related modifications or subcontracts.
• Draft and redline commercial contracts by independently formulating counter-language and revising terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, legal stakeholders, and suppliers while communicating project status and risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in direct procurement, capital project procurement, buying, or category management.
• Experience purchasing equipment for large-scale data center or power generation capital projects, including mechanical, electrical, construction, or related infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience independently redlining commercial contracts and drafting original counter-language; experience limited to pre-approved language or matrices does not meet the requirement.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word and the ability to communicate with a high volume and variety of stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with procurement software such as Coupa.
• Industry certifications such as CPM, CPSM, CPSD, MCIPS, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or CTSC.
• Experience with oil and gas field operations.
