Procurement Specialist (Buyer)

Location: USA Remote; up to 10% travel may be required.

Salary: $71,000–$97,900 base annual compensation.

What you will do

• Manage daily purchasing activities for robotic systems, components, and related materials across a complex supplier base.
• Coordinate order execution, material availability, supplier capacity, and delivery performance with contract manufacturers and key suppliers.
• Partner with Planning, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Strategic Sourcing to align supply with production and project requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, shortages, delivery risks, and recovery plans; expedite critical materials and drive issue resolution.
• Support supplier negotiations, cost-reduction initiatives, commercial discussions, and purchasing changes resulting from engineering or demand changes.
• Analyze purchasing and supplier data to improve cost, delivery, inventory, and overall supplier performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related function.
• Experience with complex suppliers, contract manufacturers, or outsourced manufacturing partners.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and purchase order management; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing material requirements, supplier delivery schedules, shortages, order changes, negotiations, and supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, and Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, electronics, electromechanical products, automation equipment, or other complex manufactured products.
