What you will do

• Manage the design process from initial concept through final design for large and complex projects.
• Coordinate design services personnel, A/E partners, project teams, trade partners, and clients from preconstruction through delivery.
• Develop and implement design services processes, tools, standards, and value management practices.
• Review contracts, design documents, constructability, technical requirements, budgets, procurement, scheduling, and quality controls to identify and reduce project risks.
• Lead design meetings, communicate priorities, and promote design thinking and best practices across projects.
• Coach, mentor, hire, and evaluate team members while supporting business development, proposals, interviews, and industry events.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of construction management experience, including extensive design-build delivery experience.
• Experience managing design-build projects, staff coordination, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, and quality control.
• Strong understanding of construction project management controls, building systems, design law, sustainable construction, and design procedures.
• Experience leading high-performance teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with construction management software, AutoCAD or Revit, and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
