Network Engineer

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, United States; full-time onsite role

What you will do

• Administer routers, switches, security devices, access points, and network management software across LAN, WAN, GAN, VPN, WLAN, and internet infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, document, monitor, and secure global network components and services.
• Design network roadmaps and propose networking solutions for business needs.
• Install and integrate network hardware, software, services, and voice-over-data capabilities.
• Troubleshoot network issues, document resolutions, and provide user training and technical support.
• Monitor performance, tune systems, manage outsourced NOC operations, optimize WAN services, and maintain firewalls.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience administering Cisco data networks.
• Experience with Cisco routing and switching, network administration, ASA, network devices, security policies, and access rights.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, the OSI model, TCP/IP, UDP, QoS, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, and SMTP.
• Experience with WAN technologies such as ATM or MPLS and familiarity with Windows.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
• CCNA certification, with strong communication, prioritization, multitasking, and customer service skills.

Nice to have

• One year of experience with Cisco ASA Firewall and/or Zone-Based Firewall.
• Project and vendor management experience.
