What you will do
- Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPN concentrators, VLANs, WAN connections, wireless networks, and VoIP systems.
- Diagnose complex network problems, implement solutions, and escalate issues with broader network impact.
- Monitor network traffic and uptime, generate usage reports, identify trends, and report anomalies.
- Upgrade network hardware and software, back up configurations, and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Support user and application requirements, including video conferencing, voice over IP, network access, and directories.
- Monitor network security, manage user access, detect attempted intrusions, and participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or a related technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing technologies.
- Experience designing, documenting, and implementing network infrastructure projects.
- Experience with border routers, firewalls, WAN and ISP connectivity, DHCP, DNS, VPN, VoIP, and wireless networking.
- Ability to triage and troubleshoot time-sensitive system and network outages.
- Associate degree required.
Nice to have
- Cisco CCNA certification.
- Experience with Fortinet technologies.
