Network Engineer Level 1 (Cisco/Network Security): Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting datacenter network infrastructure across routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, VPNs, and specialized HPC environments with an accent on Cisco technologies, L2/L3 protocols, and network security. Focus on designing and supporting resilient LAN architectures, maintaining access controls and stateful firewalls, and responding to on-call operational requirements.

What you will do
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and other security devices.
- Support Cisco, Juniper, F5, Infiniband, Fiber Channel SAN, and IPSEC VPN environments.
- Maintain LAN infrastructure, routing and switching protocols, TCP/IP, L2/L3 controls, and stateful firewall configurations.
- Support network monitoring, access control, authentication, ticketing, and task-tracking systems.
- Provide on-call support and operate in a live-call environment.
- Work with virtualization technologies including VMware and Solaris containers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or at least five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of network engineering experience covering LAN, architecture, monitoring, security, and protection.
- DoD 8570 IAT II-level certification.
- Datacenter network design and architecture experience, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IPSEC VPNs.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
