Engineer Lead (Rotordynamics)

What you will do

• Conduct lateral, torsional, and axial vibration studies, including critical speed maps and Campbell diagrams.
• Design and validate dynamic seal concepts such as labyrinth, brush, and face contact seals.
• Evaluate and optimize fluid-film, rolling-element, and magnetic bearing performance.
• Correlate analytical predictions with flight, ground, and laboratory test data.
• Investigate machinery failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and API-compliant specifications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in rotordynamics, bearing design, or high-performance turbomachinery.
• Strong knowledge of rotordynamics, tribology, finite element analysis, and computational fluid dynamics.
• Proficiency with AxSTREAM, XLROTOR, MATLAB, ANSYS, or specialized seal analysis software.
• Experience with API 617, API 684, and API 610 standards.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.
