Location: Middletown, Rhode Island, United States; must be local to the work location. Occasional telework is available.

Salary: $56,364.49–$98,006.91 per year.

What you will do

• Support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Imaging In-Service Engineering Agent team and submarine imaging systems.
• Design, create, review, and communicate requirements for Technical Data Packages.
• Develop test plans, test readiness evaluations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting recommendations.
• Integrate, test, and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, electro-optical, and RF hardware and test equipment.
• Perform systems engineering lifecycle analysis, trade studies, risk assessments, technical reports, and Engineering Change Proposals.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and electrical engineers, Navy personnel, government civilians, OEMs, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or applicable Navy experience.
• Zero to two years of experience, including one to two years with optical, electrical, or electronics systems.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical CAD software, including Altium Designer, LTspice, OrCAD, or SolidWorks.
• Experience with finite element analysis software such as Abaqus, plus technical writing and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to obtain a Secret-level US Government security clearance.

Nice to have

• Active Secret security clearance.
• PCB design experience.
• MATLAB, Linux, or Visio proficiency.
