Manufacturing Technician - Testing (2nd Shift)

Location: Morton Grove, Illinois, USA. Onsite, full-time, second shift: 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, Monday–Friday.

Compensation: USD 21–24 per hour, plus additional second-shift differential.

Global engineering business providing mission-critical flow control solutions, including mechanical seals, couplings, bearings, filtration systems, and predictive digital monitoring technologies.

What you will do

• Assemble, set up, and operate dry gas seal test cells and rig equipment.
• Clean seal components, update incoming seal records, and maintain bearing usage records.
• Install instrumentation and maintain test cell sub-component data and storage locations.
• Troubleshoot issues related to seal assembly and keep equipment ready for testing.
• Prepare and maintain test cell assembly documentation and complete weekly 5S audits.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities, daily SPQCD meetings, and technician training.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 2–3 years of experience in the oil and gas or rotating equipment industry.
• Ability to read technical drawings is essential.
• Experience with fine measurements, assembly, testing, hand tools, and power tools.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and an understanding of continuous improvement tools.
• Written and spoken English communication skills are required.

Nice to have

• Apprenticeship training with relevant qualifications.
• Assembly or testing experience with gas seals.
• High drive and willingness to learn new skills.
