Manufacturing Technician II - (T2) (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; onsite cleanroom work

Salary: $20.00–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Build, repair, and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
• Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and written instructions to complete assembly and repair work.
• Troubleshoot equipment and improve operational processes under moderate supervision.
• Receive and audit parts, verify availability, and inspect components for defects.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to test assemblies.
• Complete job documentation and perform computer programming, repairs, or software installations when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 1–2 years of semiconductor, display, comparable industry, or military experience.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including extended standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, climbing, lifting, and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools, forklifts or other heavy machinery, and required cleanroom personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree, technical education, certifications, or relevant training.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills using established procedures or scientific methods.
• ASSEET or BSEET qualification, including DeVry or TSTC training.
