Shift Supervisor

Location: Johannesburg, Roodepoort, Gauteng, South Africa; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Manage dispatch operations, including delivery targets, finished-product labeling and packaging, documentation, quality checks, on-time delivery, and Transport Management System compliance.
• Reconcile system records with actual deliveries and manage customer claims and collections through Salesforce procedures.
• Control consumables, raw materials, master rolls, slit stock, inventory counts, deviations, product holds, defects, and scrap disposal.
• Manage drivers, delivery vehicles, and forklifts, including licensing, servicing, cleaning, inspections, repairs, and compliance checks.
• Ensure production targets, slitter utilization, manpower deployment, product quality, corrective actions, and customer complaint resolution.
• Implement productivity improvements, operational expense reductions, ELS initiatives, 5S, and workplace safety improvements.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including at least three years leading teams at supervisory level.
• Grade 12 and a qualification in operations, engineering, or production management.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations procedures and processes.
• Experience with warehouse inventory management systems such as MFGPro, Nautilus, Manhattan, or SAP.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, with Excel essential, plus numerical, report-writing, communication, planning, and management skills.
• Medical fitness, accuracy, reliability, proactive thinking, and the ability to identify staff development needs.

• Knowledge of ELS and continuous improvement initiatives.
