Salary: $130,000–$190,000 per year ($62.50–$91.35 per hour)

What you will do

  • Lead construction activities from preconstruction through closeout across traditional and alternative delivery methods.
  • Oversee field execution and contractor performance for compliance with plans, specifications, codes, contracts, safety, and quality standards.
  • Monitor schedule, scope, budget, risks, daily progress, quantities, and cost performance across multiple task orders.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, claims, inspections, and construction documentation.
  • Coordinate progress meetings, site walks, issue-resolution sessions, and collaboration with consultants, contractors, internal departments, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Support commissioning, operations readiness, transition to maintenance, status reporting, risk logs, and resource forecasts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large, complex heavy-civil infrastructure projects valued above $500 million.
  • Experience overseeing construction on behalf of an owner or agency, including contractor monitoring, change order and claim review, and field issue resolution.
  • Working knowledge of contract administration, submittals, RFIs, inspections, and quality documentation for publicly funded projects.
  • Proficiency with project and construction management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, eBuilder, or Procore.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • CCM, PMP, PE, or AIA credentials.
  • Experience with design-build, CM/GC, P3, inspection, construction coordination, and contractor oversight.
  • Familiarity with eBuilder, Procore, or similar construction documentation platforms.
