Structural Discipline Engineer (10+ years)

Location: Spokane, Washington, USA; hybrid work schedule, position not remote

Salary: USD 125,000–140,000 per year, depending on education, experience, and licensure.

What you will do

• Lead structural design for commercial building projects from early design through construction.
• Perform and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing for complex gravity and lateral systems.
• Develop and review analysis models, structural drawings, design documents, and construction documents.
• Coordinate structural solutions with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Manage project scope, schedules, profitability, client relationships, proposals, and business development activities.
• Provide construction administration, quality assurance and quality control, and mentorship for junior staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration required.
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and light-gauge steel and applying associated design standards.
• Experience with computer analysis software, project management, client coordination, and structural drawing review.
• The position is based in the Spokane office, follows a hybrid schedule, is not remote, and is not eligible for sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in structural engineering.
• Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) registration.
