Project Manager (Accounting & Finance)

Location: Must be based in or near Portland, Oregon, United States. Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, and onsite.

Pay range: $60–$85 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end project management for strategic accounting and finance initiatives.
• Develop project plans covering timelines, budgets, milestones, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate finance, compliance, legal, and external partner stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide status updates, facilitate virtual meetings, and maintain stakeholder communication.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to support audits, financial reviews, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in accounting or finance environments.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, business operations, financial reporting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Asana, or similar project management tools.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and supporting remote collaboration.
• Must be based in or near Portland, Oregon.

Nice to have

• PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
