Senior Project Manager (Rural Health)

Location: Remote within the US; residing in New York is preferred. Frequent collaboration with internal and client teams is required, with travel to client sites or stakeholder meetings, including rural communities, as project needs dictate.

Compensation: $93,500–$110,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead complex rural health transformation projects and oversee multiple interdependent workstreams.
• Establish project governance, planning, reporting, risk, issue, and decision-management structures.
• Monitor milestones, budgets, deliverables, dependencies, resource utilization, and project health.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across healthcare delivery, Medicaid, behavioral health, analytics, technology, provider engagement, finance, and implementation.
• Serve as a primary client-facing leader, facilitate executive steering committees, and communicate project progress, risks, decisions, and recommendations.
• Oversee client deliverables and financial performance, including forecasting, resource allocation, invoice review, and billing coordination.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, health administration, public administration, healthcare management, business administration, policy, or a related field.
• Seven or more years of progressively responsible project or program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams within complex projects and leading executive-level stakeholder relationships.
• Advanced skills in project governance, planning, resource management, budget oversight, risk management, issue resolution, and cross-functional coordination.
• Knowledge of rural healthcare delivery, Medicaid, public health, behavioral health, or healthcare transformation is advantageous.
• Active PMP or equivalent certification is required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in public health, public administration, health policy, healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience with large-scale healthcare, Medicaid, public health, behavioral health, rural health, or healthcare transformation initiatives.
• Consulting experience.
