Estimator (Construction)

Location: Onsite at the client site on 49th Avenue in Long Island City, New York; projects are located in and around the NYC metro area.

Salary: $95,975.90–$109,686.74 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate with technical, professional, managerial, design, consulting, and contracting personnel to establish detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare or oversee estimates for all phases of design and construction.
• Supervise quantity surveys and cost evaluations based on design documents, drawings, specifications, and contract changes.
• Review estimates prepared by private consultants and advise on their suitability for client implementation.
• Participate in cost negotiations and review estimating work.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, environmental services, or related coursework, or equivalent training.
• At least four years of full-time technical experience.
• At least four years of experience in architectural, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing estimating.
• Ability to work onsite at the Long Island City, New York client site.
