What you will do

• Plan and manage estimating activities for assigned construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, requirements, and bid documents.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, conceptual estimates, materials pricing, labor costs, and equipment costs.
• Coordinate subcontractor solicitations, job walks, bid lists, drawings, and competitive trade bids.
• Compile bids, maintain bidding schedules, and support project teams after bid award.
• Submit material requisitions, perform post-bid buyouts when applicable, and maintain supplier and subcontractor relationships.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of project engineering or related experience.
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings.
• Accurate judgment and calculation skills, with working knowledge of construction costs and principles.
• Estimating experience including quantity takeoffs, purchasing, and accounting.
• Drafting and computer skills; engineering design and project management experience are desirable.
