Lead Estimator

Location: Honolulu, HI

Salary: $130,000–$155,000 annual salary

What you will do

• Lead one or more estimates, budgets, or pursuit efforts while supporting additional estimating pursuits.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs, material pricing, conceptual estimates, scope sheets, and subcontractor bidder lists.
• Review plans, specifications, BIM models, and subcontractor estimates to identify errors, scope gaps, exclusions, and risks.
• Lead or participate in bid-day compilation, fee strategy, bid scheduling, and post-bid buyouts.
• Prepare and coordinate General Conditions and General Requirements with the Operations team.
• Mentor, train, and support estimating staff, interns, and interim project engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 3 years of estimating or related experience.
• Ability to read and understand construction specifications, drawings, and BIM models.
• Ability to make accurate judgments, calculate associated risks, and maintain knowledge of current construction costs and principles.
• Proficiency with estimating tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or comparable software.
